The Pacific Business News had a great article in regards to the economic impact in Ko Olina.  Here is a blurb from the article:

Even before Disney's announcement that it would build a new resort on 21 acres at Ko Olina, the Leeward Oahu resort had generated $928 million in wages, tax payments and other payouts that exceeded even the most expansive estimates...

This artist's rendering shows what the proposed Disney development at Ko Olina could look like when realized in 2011.

Creating job employment opportunities and certainly increasing the property values; Walt Disney Company announced they will build a resort hotel and Disney Vacation Club in the Ko Olina Resort, (located on the island of Oahu).

This will be the first stand-alone hotel by Walt Disney Parks and Resorts; the company has purchased 21 acres of oceanfront property in Ko Olina for this development.
